Snapshot Analysis of Mitt Romney's Birth chart

Mr. Romney is Taurus Rising in Vedic Astrology. Taurus is the sign of Material Values, concerned with Money, Possessions, and Success. Rahu (one of the eclipse points) occupies the Ascendant, creating a further emphasis on the Taurean qualities. There are three significators in Scorpio, and another three planets in Aquarius. The emphasis on Fixed Signs in the Angular Houses of the chart indicates a person of Great Determination: Mr. Romney finds Happiness through the Exercise of Power. The combination of Sun, Mercury, and Mars in the 10^th house of Status and Position creates a double Raja Yoga, guaranteeing worldy success, and makes him a Commander, as well as adding an element of Ruthlessness to his actions in the world.

Mr. Gingrich is Capricorn Rising in Vedic Astrology. Capricorn is the sign of Work, Management, and Practical Results. Mr. Gingrich shares this rising sign, as well as his  rising nakshatra Dhanishta, with President Obama’s chart. But Mr. Gingrich is nearly equally a Sagittarius person, due to being born with a powerful Full Moon in Sagittarius. So Mr. Gingrich equally exhibits Sagittarian qualities like Ego, Independence, Self Righteousness, Outspoken, etc. The splendor of his natal Moon is enhanced through a Parivatna Yoga (exchange of sign rulership) with an Exalted Jupiter in his 7^th house, getting him the attention of the Public.
